THE downtown “terminal building” at Jing’an Temple has closed and the building will reopen as a shopping mall.

The Shanghai Airport City Terminal Building on Nanjing Road opened on 2002 to allow passengers to check in and deposit luggage for flights from Hongqiao or Pudong international airports.

However, not enough people used the terminal building to make it viable, said officials.
