PUDONG International Airport yesterday installed a self-service check-in machine at Terminal 1 in a bid to reduce waiting times.

The new service, which allows people to select their seats and prints out their boarding passes, is available to all passengers flying with China Eastern and Shanghai airlines.

The scanning process is as rigorous as the one used in regular channels.
