Pandemic results in more family problems 2021-01-07
There was a surge of marriage counseling cases in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic a factor in family strife, a report revealed on Wednesday.
Shanghai-based Weiqing Group said it received 58,504 marriage counseling cases online last year, up 86.9 percent from a year earlier, and 2,376 offline, a 121 percent surge.
The pandemic disrupted people’s daily routines and habits, and lockdowns which had increased family interactions had also magnified problems.
