Jiang Zhuoqing was elected director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai People’s Congress, the city’s legislature, on Monday, succeeding Yin Yicui. He was elected on the fourth plenary meeting of the Third Session of the 15th Shanghai People’s Congress. Jiang, 60, has previously served as head of the Yangpu District government, secretary of the Shanghai government, vice mayor of Shanghai, director of the administrative committee of Shanghai Hongqiao Business District, and director of the supervisory commission of Jiangsu Province.
