The Third Session of the 15th Shanghai People’s Congress opened on Wednesday. In his work report delivered at the session's opening, Ying Yong, mayor of Shanghai, told the assembly that the city’s GDP is estimated to have grown by over 6 percent in 2019. The registered unemployment rate was 3.6 percent, and it’s estimated that the surveyed unemployment rate would be around 4.3 percent, while the CPI increased by 2.5 percent, Ying said.
