An association to promote the cultivation of eSports talent in the Yangtze River Delta region has been established in Shanghai. The first 55 members include higher educational institutions, such as Fudan University, Shanghai University, Shanghai Sport University and the Nanjing branch of the Communication University of China, and eSports enterprises, including Tencent and Perfect World. Lu Ye, director of the Shanghai Campus eSports Association and Shanghai Education Center of Science and Art, said the new organization aims to promote the development of eSports education and support the region in building itself into a highland for eSports culture, talent and industry.
