The second session of the 15th Shanghai People’s Congress received 49 proposals from deputies, 10 more than at the first session last year. Among them, 40 were listed as formal proposals and will be reviewed by the SPC. Nine were related to the legal systems or judicial affairs, 15 were on finance and the economy, nine on science, education, culture and health, 15 on urban planning and environmental protection, and one referred to foreign affairs.
