Shanghai mayor meets Hong Kong guest 2017-11-03
Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met William Tak-Lun Lee, president of Shanghai Fraternity Association Hong Kong Limited, and his delegation on Monday.
Ying said Shanghai is implementing the 19th CPC National Congress’s spirit and working hard to build itself into an international center of economy, finance, trade and shipping by 2020. Meanwhile, it will speed up its steps in creating a globally influential science and technology innovation center.
In addition, Shanghai is striving to build its Free Trade Zone as a bridgehead of promoting the Belt and Road initiative, Ying added. He expressed his hope that Shanghai will have more collaboration with Hong Kong and more Hong Kong industrial and commercial professionals would come and work in Shanghai.
