A bridge spanning the city’s largest lake is near completion in the western Qingpu District suburb, the district’s water authority said yesterday.

The 1.47-kilometer-long bridge over Dianshan Lake in Zhujiajiao Town connects the lake’s Shanghai aquatic sports center and the border of Jiangsu Province.

The bridge is longer than the popular Bai Causeway at the West Lake in Hangzhou.
