CONSTRUCTION on the new Shanghai East Railway Station — connecting to Shanghai’s two airports and the Disneyland Resort — will begin in the fourth quarter of the year.

Shanghai Railway Bureau unveiled the location of the new station this week.

The 60,000-square-meter site will be located at the north of the free trade zone in the Pudong New Area, and about 4 kilometers from Pudong International Airport. The station will have 10 platforms and 22 tracks, with 120 pairs of trains operating daily.
