Marathon registration starts 2017-04-06
REGISTRATION has started for the 2017 Shanghai Chongming International Marathon, which will be held on Chongming Island on April 30.
The event — one of the city’s two major running events in the spring — follows the 2017 Shanghai International Half Marathon on April 23.
Jointly organized by the Chinese Athletic Association, Shanghai Sports Bureau and Chongming District, the Chongming event will feature a total of 8,000 participants. Two thousand will take part in the 42-kilometer full marathon, 2,000 in the 21km half marathon, and 4,000 in the 5km health run.
