THE government yesterday outlined its plan for Shanghai's first BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) route, which will be launched by the end of next year.

The 31.2-kilometer route will run through Fengxian, Minhang districts and the Pudong New Area.

Buses will travel between Nanqiao New Town and the Oriental Sports Center, with 27 stops, including two regular terminals and one interzonal terminal.
