China Eastern Airlines' flight MU745 took off last Thursday from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, stopping in Auckland before arriving in Buenos Aires, Argentina, setting a new record for the world's longest one-way route with a distance of around 20,000 km, the Chinese carrier said. The route shortens the flight time from China to South America by over four hours to 25 hours.
