'A Life for Painting' to display Renoir oeuvre 2015-11-17
AN exhibition of 44 works by French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir will open to the public on Saturday at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.
Titled "A Life for Painting," the show is the first "large-scale display" of the artist's work ever to be staged in the city, according to its organizer Tix-Media.
The collection, which has been brought together from 14 museums across Europe and the United States, includes 28 oil paintings, 15 works in chalk, pencil and ink, and one sculpture.
