福建泉州一重病女童送至复旦儿童医院救治   2014-09-19

 

A BABY girl suffering from a serious infection and multiple organ failure arrived at Fudan University Children’s Hospital at 7pm last night after a 10-hour ambulance ride under a police escort from her home in Quanzhou, Fujian Province.

The 6-month-old infant was immediately sent to the hospital’s intensive care unit for an assessment, after which doctors said that she was in a serious condition. Her lung function, in particular, was a major cause for concern, the doctors said.

The child will require a considerable amount of treatment, which will last for a long period of time, they said.
