中国首个海图服务创新联盟在上海成立 2025-10-26

The Nautical Chart Service Innovation Alliance, China’s first collaborative entity of its kind, was launched in Shanghai on Oct 20 during the Maritime Traffic Safety Forum at the 2025 North Bund Forum.
The alliance aims to establish four platforms: an innovation platform to drive breakthroughs in nautical chart technology, a development platform to empower ports and the marine economy, a standards-setting platform for technical specifications, and a collaboration platform to drive industry integration.
At the launch, eight pioneering services were unveiled. Among them are S-100 data products that deliver internationally standardized information, including next-generation electronic nautical charts, as well as an integrated land-sea map that merges official nautical and land maps to provide unified geographic information. The alliance will also offer personalized thematic data services tailored to shipping and research.
Additional services include fisheries electronic charts equipped with collision warnings, port safety operational surveying, and customized data support for emerging sectors such as offshore wind power and marine ranching.
The alliance will also introduce digital twin data services to enhance smart shipping and an AI-powered chart assistant to deliver real-time navigation safety information.
Looking ahead, the alliance will focus on four core tasks: integrating nautical chart data resources, advancing core technologies, upgrading service models, and cultivating an industrial ecosystem.
