上海体育大学赢得2025年大学世界杯揭幕战 2025-09-18
Shanghai University of Sport women's team started its 2025 FISU University World Cup Football campaign with a 4-0 victory over the University of Valencia, as the biennial tournament opened in Dalian, northeast China's Liaoning Province on Wednesday.
The previous two editions had also been held in China. This year's tournament features 24 teams from 17 countries and regions, with four university teams representing China.
The Shanghai side took the lead after just six minutes when Valencia goalkeeper Andrea Martinez Gonzalez's wayward pass was intercepted by Sun Fangxin, who slotted into an empty net.
The home side made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute when a long ball found Yin Lihong, who sprung the offside trap to beat the goalkeeper one-on-one.
Martinez Gonzalez gifted another goal in the 56th minute, as her poor clearance bounced off Sun and into the net, before Sun rounded the goalkeeper later to score Shanghai's fourth.
