上海虹桥机场单月客运量再创新高 2025-08-14
The Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport handled 304,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips throughout July, hitting a new single monthly record since the airport resumed international operations in March 2023, according to the Shanghai Airport (Group).
Among all, more than 90,000 passenger trips were made by outbound Chinese mainland travelers, with nearly 10,000 young travelers aged below 14. Due to optimized visa measures to facilitate overseas Chinese travelers, outbound travelers have more diversified options including traditional destinations such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, as well as emerging options like the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
Driven by China's visa-free policy, inbound passenger flow maintains a steady growth with nearly 35,000 foreign passengers entering China via the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport in July, an increase of 24.6 percent year-on-year. It's worth noting that nearly 40 percent of inbound travelers are aged between 25 and 44.
In an effort to offer safe, highly efficient and convenient travel experience, the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport vows to continuously optimize their services.
