上海青浦区组建贸易代表团迎接第九届进博会   2026-11-03

Home to the permanent venue of the China International Import Expo, Shanghai's Qingpu District has formed a large trade delegation and rolled out a slew of activities to get ready for the upcoming ninth CIIE, which is to take place from Nov 5 to 10.

To date, the Qingpu trade delegation has registered a record-high of more than 3,460 buyers and more than 28,900 professional visitors, many of which have purchasing intentions in sectors such as new materials, biomedicine, high-end equipment, as well as fashion and consumer goods, the District said during a news briefing held on Wednesday.

Over the past eight editions of the expo, the Qingpu trade delegation has always secured the city's first deal at the CIIE, expanding from food and consumer goods to high-value-added products, such as technological equipment and medical devices.

This year, over 30 foreign companies settling down in the District are exhibitors at the ninth CIIE. To better connect both local and global exhibitors and buyers, the District is also ramping up efforts in organizing a diverse slew of roadshows and matchmaking events to facilitate deals and contract signings.

To better attract investment from the expo, the District has pre-selected about 900 high-quality exhibitors and identified 100 key companies at the expo. With favorable policies and tailor-made approaches, Qingpu is hoping to further leverage the CIIE's premier platform to help projects land in the District and empower them to expand in the Yangtze River Delta.

As the CIIE also serves as a platform for cultural changes, Qingpu has prepared diverse cultural tourism offerings across the District during the expo. The District has coordinated more than 20 distinctive events, including international competitions, cultural performances, historic town tours, rural festivals, and shopping promotions.

Focusing on various aspects from dining and sightseeing to shopping and entertainment, Qingpu has launched six themed CIIE tour routes to offer participants a short getaway. The District has compiled a list of 74 hotels with a total of 13,784 guest rooms. Ten key hotels have established multilingual tourist service centers to provide consultation for international visitors, itinerary recommendations, and cross-border payment conveniences.

During the expo, the District will launch a free shuttle bus service to help CIIE participants easily explore its landmarks such as the Zhujiajiao ancient town, Panlong Xintiandi, and Qingpu Bailian Outlets.
