各方承诺加强跨区域协同合作,以推动长江三角洲创新中心的发展 2026-06-24
Shanghai and the neighboring provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui will deepen regional cooperation to support the development of the Yangtze River Delta international innovation center, it was announced at a session held on June 24 under the Pujiang Innovation Forum framework in Shanghai.
At the 2026 International Science, Technology and Innovation Think Tank Forum, the Shanghai Institute for Science of Science, the Jiangsu Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy, the Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology Information, and the Anhui Science and Technology Archives agreed to step up cross-regional collaboration and joint research.
They said they would expand coordinated think-tank work on major national science and technology strategies through closer cooperation.
The session, themed "Crossing Boundaries: Co-creating Future Industries in a Period of Transformation," brought together more than 300 domestic and international experts and scholars.
Speakers included Djerdj Horvat, project manager of Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI; Hwanil Park, senior research fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) in South Korea; and Péter Mogyorósi, CEO of LC Innoconsult in Hungary. They discussed cross-sector trends in emerging industries and shared international experience on industrial development.
Jiang Ge, deputy director of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, said Shanghai was prioritizing innovation-led industrial growth and strengthening think-tank capacity with a greater international focus.
Liu Dongmei, Party secretary of the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development, observed that future industries require closer attention to technological convergence, pilot testing platforms and enterprise participation in ecosystem building.
The International Science, Technology and Innovation Think Tank Forum, a thematic session under the Pujiang Innovation Forum, has been held for 11 consecutive editions. It aims to provide a platform for international dialogue and strengthen research into the dynamics of technological and industrial transformation.
The forum is held under the joint guidance of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development, and organized by the Shanghai Institute for Science of Science.
