中国首个航空科幻主题公园在上海起飞 2026-05-12

China’s first aviation science fiction theme park, called the Nantianmen Project’s Shanghai 288 Base, officially got underway on May 11 in Shanghai’s Lingang New Area, marking the launch of a major new future technology and cultural tourism landmark under development in Lingang.
The Shanghai 288 Base is an important component of the Nantianmen Project, which is an original aviation-themed sci-fi intellectual property developed by AVIC Global Culture Communication (Beijing), a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China.
A preview area of the project, consisting of a hangar housing two futuristic fighter aircraft named "Baidi" and "Xuannv,” was opened to industry professionals for the first time on May 11. The main building work of the amusement park is expected to be completed by the end of this year, with the official opening date scheduled for Aug. 1, 2027, according to the plan.
This project is closely aligned with the aims of Shanghai's 15th Five-Year Plan regarding digital cultural tourism, commercial aerospace, artificial intelligence and intelligent robotics. By leveraging Lingang’s strengths in aerospace, AI and digital tourism industries, the project aims to create China's first immersive aviation sci-fi cultural tourism benchmark and serve as a core attraction in Lingang’s tourism sector while supporting Shanghai's goal of becoming an internationally influential cultural and technology innovation center.
A full visit to the amusement park will last between one and a half to two hours, said Zhou Yixiao, head of the Nantianmen Project’s Shanghai base. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience many exciting storylines, to work, fight and live alongside base staff, travel through outer-space scenarios, forge friendship bonds and eventually return to Earth.
To further increase the IP’s influence, a seminar for film experts on the Nantianmen Project was held to discuss the feasibility of producing a sci-fi movie based on the copyright. The seminar also explored the value of a "theme park + film" dual-development model in building an integrated ecosystem for the entire industry chain, combining IP creation, real-world experiences and film distribution.
